The Amazing Diane von Furstenberg!

Well, "Some fairy tales end with the girl marrying the prince…some start there…With the polish of a princess and the heart of a gypsy, she fantasizes about a life less structured, about sunsets unseen and deserts in the distance", says Diane about her Spring 2013 collection.  Every garment that set foot on her black lipped runway screamed, "Diane".  It was so her, every outfit you could picture her wearing as you passed her in the Meatpacking district, sunglasses on and phone in hand.  Imaginably so, being a designer is difficult, from season to season reinventing ideas and bringing them to life.  Regardless, somehow they all manage to do it and this time Diane really spiced up the runway.  Just like Diane wished, I pictured the princess traveling through the desert in her printed jumpsuits, crepe tunics worn over pants, gowns, oversized blazers and all of it in vibrantly screaming colors.  How could I forget the sequins and shimmer, to match her tiara.
Don't think I was dismissing the goggles?  Yes, goggles, like actual goggles.  You may have loved them and you may have hated them but hell, Diane was wearing them so embrace them.  It's kind of technology meets fashion and then 'kaboom' there was a memorable fashion show!

Such a success!

A Revealing Behind!

Many celebrities have been sporting the backless trend this summer.  This look is quite revealing, but chic if done correctly.  Obviously, you have to go braless!  Be sure to break out the sticky boobs or breast petals to make this look complete.  Have fun with the more casual beach side look or dress it up with some rockin' pumps and a matching clutch.  Finally, keep your strands simple, either keep your hair down or loosely pull it back.  Check these out if you dare before the weather gets too cold!

Strap Up!

When it comes to fashion, sexuality is a never ending discussion.  Is that too much?  Is it too revealing? Is this appropriate or not?  In a design studio those questions are floating around constantly.  It just so happens that in the YSL, Hermés and Chloé design studio they had quite daring answers to those questions.  Leather harnesses are back and you better buckle up because they are fierce!  The bondage and fetish fashion is still afloat and it begins with the leather harness accessories.  Although these accessories are far from mainstream we no longer question it as strange or absurd.  Since this look is a bit risque it is best paired with something elegant.  Think maxi dress or high waisted pants, sophistication is key!  See how the designers do it!

Floral Bursts!

Whether you are a landscaper's daughter or not, floral prints are all the rage this season.  Springs floral fashions have carried over into summer.  You have many different options when it comes to floral patterns.  Designers are using this print on shorts, tops, pants, dresses, blouses and more.  They also come in a variety of sizes; large bold flowers, small dainty flowers, clusters, bouquets etc..  Mixing and matching floral patterns are what seems to be troublesome when creating outfits.  Design experts say that it is okay to mix and match floral prints, but you just have to make sure that you are not going overboard and that you are placing them on the most flattering parts of your body.  For example, if you are larger in your chest then stay away from large floral prints on the top.  If you are larger in your bottom then stay away from floral prints on your bottom.  A floral romper could be cute, just make sure you break it up with a solid color belt or a bold handbag.  A classic and simple way to wear a floral print is to either pair a solid bottom with a floral top or vise versas.  It's a bold statement regardless, beware!  Here are a few examples of ways to wear floral prints!

It even looks great on accessories!
