The curtains closed with a statement, a Ralph Lauren statement to be exact. Lauren brought Paris to New York. Carefully placed beret's, lace evening gowns, silk neck scarves and polished suits remind me of the quintessential Parisian woman. Although, red, black and white mainly stole the show there were the quick bursts of green, blue and purple that kept the viewers wondering. Of course, unless you are the girl that talks to her clothing and they talk back, these pieces screamed classic and bold without even saying a word. And as we have seen before, the beaded and embellished look is in for Spring 2013, probably because we all crave so much attention and what better way to get it than through glistening apparel!
Now it is time for all the designers and models to pack up and head back to Milan, Paris, London and elsewhere to start on their next collections. And the runways will sit quietly for the return of the next seasons stomping.
